Women Lead TDC Leadership Bootcamp

The heartbeat of the TDC Leadership Bootcamp pulsed stronger because of the phenomenal women who took the stage — and held the space. Through authentic conversations, deep wisdom, and powerful insights, they reminded us that leadership is not one-size-fits-all, and every woman can lead from exactly where she is.

More than a bootcamp, it was a transformation room — where truths were spoken, doubts were shattered, and new visions were born. Here’s a look at the incredible facilitators who made this experience unforgettable:

Habiba Sharon Yakubu — Session 1: Setting the Context

Habiba opened the bootcamp with a powerful reflection. She challenged participants to interrogate the meaning of leadership with piercing questions: Why women? Why now? Do you see yourself as a leader?

She helped us reframe leadership with clarity and courage, not as a title reserved for the few, but as a call to action for every woman, starting now.

Olamide Siaisiai — Session 2: Women in Leadership

Olamide led us into the unique space of feminine leadership. She debunked the myth that women must imitate men to lead well.

Instead, she called us to embrace our voice, confront internalised bias, and lead from a place of authenticity. Her session was filled with real stories of women making bold moves in the development world — and it left us inspired to do the same.

Watirahyel Balami Fitto — Session 3: Leading with the Heart

Watirahyel reminded us that emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-awareness are not just useful tools — they are essential leadership superpowers.

Her session was calm, yet deeply impactful. She guided us to understand how to hold space, how to listen, and how to lead with both strength and softness. Leadership, she showed us, begins with knowing and honouring ourselves.

Progress Oberiko — Session 4: What Are Your Ambitions?

Progress invited us to dream again. Through visualisation exercises and honest conversation, she created a brave space to speak our ambitions out loud.

She tackled limiting stereotypes and reminded us that our voice is our influence. Dreaming is not indulgent — it’s part of leadership. And claiming your aspirations is the first act of power.

Tobi Ransomed — Bootcamp Convener

Tobi was more than a facilitator — she was the architect of this experience. Her leadership was marked by intention, clarity, and depth.

She curated the space, shaped the energy, and ensured that every session aligned with a bigger purpose. Through her presence and planning, she showed us what it means to lead with vision and pour into others.

This Is What It Looks Like When Women Lead

Each session built upon the last, creating a ripple effect of courage, insight, and clarity. These women didn’t just teach leadership — they modelled it.

At TDC, we believe that leadership is cultivated through conversation, connection, and courage. The bootcamp was proof: when women come together with purpose, the impact is undeniable.

Stay with us as we continue to build spaces where leadership is redefined, and every voice finds its place at the table.
